New Marina in Simeri Crichi (CZ)

This is a complex project that is developed around a new marina to be built along the coast between two municipalities. The project includes all the structures and services to support the marina and the connected new activities. It is therefore a general redevelopment of the area, aimed at strengthening a positive boost to the local economy, creating new job and development new opportunities.
Due to its dimension the project should have been subjected to an EIA screening procedure, however taking into account its complexity the EIA-SEA commission of Calabria Region requested for a full EIA procedure.
An Environmental Impact Study was carried out analysing the mandatory planning tools and including focused studies and specialist investigations which allowed to outline the current state of the intervention area.
The entire project was developed on the basis of in-depth technical studies that allowed the definition of a layout that responds to the needs of the territory and the yachting request highlighted by the regional plans.
The studies carried out included an analysis of the energy needs of the new project with preliminary proposals for the construction of a "near-zero emissions" port.
